Your Gift to the North Texas Food Bank Goes 3X as Far on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is on December 3, and this year, you can make three times the impact with your gift to the North Texas Food Bank.

Thanks to a matching donation fueled by Atmos Energy, every $1 given to the NTFB will be tripled to provide nine meals to neighbors facing hunger.

Those meals support families like Vivian’s*. While her husband works in construction, Vivian takes care of their three young children. In recent months, they’ve struggled to make ends meet, especially as they face higher bills for utilities, transportation and other essentials. Grocery prices remain more than 20 percent higher than they were before the pandemic, making it tough for Vivian to afford healthy options for her kids.

“Right now, only my husband is working and sometimes we need a little bit more,” says Vivian, who has three children, ages 8, 6 and 2 (pictured here). “We don’t always have enough for all of our food, especially fruits and veggies.”

Thankfully, Vivian lives near an NTFB partner pantry and has been able to receive pantry staples and fresh produce each month to supplement the food she can buy.
