Support the North Texas Food Bank this Giving Tuesday

A matching gift by Cruise, means your gift will go twice as far to provide for neighbors facing hunger this Nov. 28.

Thanks to groceries she receives from the North Texas Food Bank, Jessica can prepare healthy meals for her family.

“I can get the food my kids need to grow up strong,” says Jessica, adding that her children love fresh milk and fruit. “I am really grateful that people think about us and other families.”

Your #GivingTuesday gift will support neighbors like Jessica, and thanks to a generous donation by Cruise, every gift up to $10,000 will be doubled to have two times the impact on North Texas seniors, families and children.

The North Texas Food Bank is now serving about 400,000 meals each day, and in October distributed nearly 12.5 million meals, including a record 10.7 physical meals. That surpassed the number of physical meals distributed during March of 2021, when North Texas experienced an ice storm during COVID-19, and it represented an about 20 percent increase from the previous month.

The higher need is coming at a time when private support for the food bank is down – the first decline in giving since 2018.

Giving Tuesday, which started as a hashtag in 2012 and has since grown to become one of the largest global giving days, presents an opportunity to support our neighbors facing hunger.
