Nutrition Services
The Nutrition Services Team provides a variety of in-person and virtual resources such as nutrition workshops, grocery store tours, educational handouts and healthy recipes for distribution, cooking demonstration videos, the Spade and Spoon newsletter, and the Nudge Pantry Program all free of charge to organizations serving low-income and food insecure audiences.
NTFB has provided free nutrition education services to low-income populations since 1996. In partnership with Feeding Texas, HHSC and local community organizations, NTFB serves about 2000 participants annually through our nutrition workshops that are delivered both in-person and virtually. Currently, there are 79 community pantries that are active in the Nudge Pantry Program.Â
