NTFB Superfans Support North Texas Giving Day

More than 25 NTFB SuperFans created FUNdraising pages for North Texas Giving Day.

North Texas Giving Day is on Thursday, September 19, and this year, the Food Bank is proud of the many hunger fighters who pledged their support through creating individual FUNdraising pages. A new Giving Day feature, FUNdraising pages enable supporters to utilize peer-to-peer fundraising to encourage donations through email and social media channels. Hunger fighters can lend their voices, resources and network in support of the North Texas Food Bank, all through an easy-to-use online platform.

Through an 18-hour online giving event, North Texas Giving Day amplifies our collective-community impact and builds awareness and support for local nonprofits and causes. This year, the Food Bank has set a Giving Day goal to fund 2.4 million meals because the need for hunger relief in our community continues to grow. Currently almost 800,000 of our North Texas neighbors are food-insecure – meaning they do not know where they will find their next healthy meal.

But as technology brings innovative practices to the nonprofit sector – these advancements make it now easier than ever to help provide access to more nutritious meals to our community. $1 provides access to three nutritious meals to hungry neighbors, and there’s still time to schedule a giving day donation and encourage family and friends to join you in donating to the North Texas Food Bank on North Texas Giving Day.
