Maximize your benefits through gifts that pay you back

Gifts that pay you back – transfer securities, cash, or other property to the North Texas Food Bank and we’ll manage the investment of the assets and pay an income to you, your designated beneficiaries, or both.

Learn about gift types that enable you to impact our organization while supporting yourself or loved ones for years to come.

Charitable Gift Annuities

With a charitable gift annuity you agree to make a gift to the North Texas Food Bank and we, in return, agree to pay you a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life. The balance is used to support our work.

This type of donation provides you with regular payments for life and allows us to further our mission. You can also qualify for a variety of tax benefits depending on how you fund your gift.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

This type of trust is an irrevocable arrangement in which you transfer assets into a trust that is managed and invested by a trustee. The trust pays income to designated beneficiaries for a set number of years or for their lifetime. At the end of the trust term, the balance in the trust goes to the North Texas Food Bank.

Charitable Lead Trusts

If you want to make an impact now at the North Texas Food Bank and also provide for your family later, consider setting up a charitable lead trust. Cash or other assets are transferred to a trust that makes payments to the North Texas Food Bank for a period of time. When the term is up, the remaining trust passes to your family or other beneficiaries you select.
