Jan's Garden: The Setting of Hunger Bugs Me!

The setting of Hunger Bugs Me! is the beautiful Jan’s Garden which can be found at the North Texas Food Bank headquarters, the Perot Family Campus in Plano, Texas. The garden serves as a learning garden for the local community, where school groups and volunteers tend to a variety of fruits and vegetables. Jan’s Garden is named after beloved former NTFB CEO, Jan Pruitt.

Jan dedicated her life to ensuring that hungry North Texans had access to healthy foods. The bulk of her career was at the helm of the North Texas Food Bank where she served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1997 through 2016. Thanks to Jan and her staff, more than a half-billion meals were put on the table for local families in need.
