NTFB Hosts Industry Peers During Feeding America Conference Tour
Nearly 200 guests from the Feeding America network visited NTFB.

Before the opening session for Feeding America’s Sourcing, Operations and Neighbor Access (SONA) Conference, about 200 food bankers from around the country visited North Texas Food Bank.

The guests from Feeding America and food banks from throughout the U.S. took a tour of the Perot Family Campus and got a first-hand look at NTFB’s SNAP Mobile, Jan’s Garden, the warehouse and more.

NTFB staff volunteered to lead tour groups throughout the Perot Family Campus while others volunteered to speak about their area of expertise.

Guests stopped in Jan’s Garden to learn about the new beehive, the types of vegetables growing and about our partner garden network. Upstairs at PFC, they heard about Network Engagement Services and the importance of data in NTFB decision making. After an overview of volunteering, it was on to the warehouse where tour groups heard from Director of Food Sourcing Stacy Stephenson, Chief Operating Officer Maurice Wilson II and Senior Director of Logistics Mike Cannon.

Guests had insightful questions and shared with us about their operations, as well. Thanks to all those who participated for a fruitful morning of networking and learning.
