Donor Advised Funds

YOU can harness the giving power of a donor-advised fund

We know you’re dedicated to helping to close the hunger gap in North Texas, and giving from a donor-advised fund (DAF) is a great way to invest in a healthy future for your North Texas neighbors. If you have a DAF, follow the steps below to log into your account to make your grant recommendation.

How donor-advised funds work

Think of a DAF as a charitable investment account that gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to the North Texas Food Bank and other qualified charities.

Your contribution to qualifying DAFs (often held at community foundations) is treated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a charitable contribution at the time that it’s made. You then gain the flexibility of advising the DAF when and to which charitable organizations you would like to make a gift.

Make a gift from your donor-advised fund

Enter your DAF institution in the search bar then click "GO"

  1. Log in with your credentials
  2. Enter the amount to give
  3. Click Next to complete your gift.

If you don't see your DAF institution listed, contact your DAF Fund Manager to direct a DAF gift to NTFB.

When granting through your donor-advised fund, please use the following information:

  • North Texas Food Bank, Tax ID 75-1785357
  • Mailing Address: 3677 Mapleshade Lane, Plano, TX 75075
