Food Assistance and Benefit Services
The North Texas Food Bank stands with individuals and families across North Texas who are facing food insecurity. If you’re struggling to put food on the table, please know that support is available. Each week, we help provide more than 2 million meals to neighbors in need. You don’t have to go through this alone—reach out today so we can help ensure you and your family have the food and stability you deserve.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by the federal government shutdown, the North Texas Food Bank and our network of more than 500 food pantries and community partners are ready to help. Whether you’re a federal employee, contractor, work for a business affected by the shutdown, or a neighbor losing SNAP benefits, we’re here to provide the support you need during this difficult time.
Special Food Distributions for Federal Employees and SNAP Neighbors
The special food distributions listed below are intended for federal employees and neighbors whose SNAP benefits have been paused due to the government shutdown. Some sites are drive-through mobile distributions that require a vehicle, while others are walk-up pantries where you’ll go inside to receive food. Please bring your Lone Star Card or a valid federal ID to help expedite the process. Even if your pay or SNAP benefits haven’t been affected, you are welcome to visit one of our partner food pantries or mobile food distributions for support.
