File a Civil Rights Complaint
The USDA policy states: Federal law and policy prohibits discrimination based on the following: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, and political beliefs. (Not all bases apply to all programs).
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination in any USDA program or activity that occurred at a food distribution affiliated with NTFB or an NTFB partner and you wish to file a complaint of discrimination, please follow the instructions below.
- Option 1: Please fill out the complaint form by visiting ntfb.org/civilrightscomplaint your entry will be directed to NTFB to document and investigate the complaint and report back to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).
- Option 2: You may fill out a complaint form and mail it to the address provided on this form.
A program discrimination complaint must be filed not later than 180 days of the date you knew or should have known of the alleged discrimination unless the time for filing is extended by USDA.
