End of Year Giving
There are many great ways to give to North Texas Food Bank before the end of the year. Please read below about which gift option works best for you.
By Check
To process checks in 2025, the gift must be postmarked by December 31, 2025, regardless of what date is listed on the check. Checks brought in person to NTFB must be received in person by December 31, 2025, to count as 2025 gifts.
By Cash
To process cash in 2025, the gift must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2025. Cash brought in person to NTFB must be received in person by December 31, 2025, to count as 2025 gifts.
By Credit Card
Credit card gifts are counted in the tax year that they are charged to the donor account. Credit card gifts can be made on www.ntfb.org/faceofhunger. Gifts made online by December 31, 2025, will be processed automatically before midnight and will count as 2025 gifts.
By Wire Transfer or EFT/ACH
Gifts via wire transfer or electronic funds transfers (EFTs)/automated clearing house (ACH) transfers are counted in the tax year in which they are credited to the NTFB account. Email the Gift & Development Services department for instructions.
By Stock Transfer
Please reach out to the Gift & Development Services department to obtain NTFB’s stock transfer instruction form. That department can be reached via email or by calling 214-270-0809. Due to increased request volume and varying processing times between financial institutions, we encourage you to submit your stock transfers no later than mid-December. Requests made after that point may not be received until 2026.
IRA Charitable Rollovers/Qualified Charitable Distributions
Donors should check with their plan administrators to determine the necessary time to make a direct distribution to NTFB. If contributing by check, most plan administrators require the check to be deposited in the year the distribution is made. Donors should submit payments by check before December to avoid their check being deposited in 2026. If a check is to be submitted in December, donors should send by overnight mail to arrive by December 20, 2025, to ensure depositing prior to year end.

Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, solicits food and grocery products from national suppliers, distributes them through more than 200 food banks and provides food banks with operational support. It also educates the public and government officials about the ongoing problem of hunger.
