Dine Out and Donate
The 22nd annual DFW Restaurant Week, presented by Your Metroplex Cadillac Dealers, officially kicks off today! More than 150 of our communities’ finest restaurants are participating, each donating proceeds to the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope. Dining out never tasted better!
Starting today, Monday, August 5, participating restaurants will offer three-course prix fixe dinners for either $39 or $49, with some also offering a two-course lunch menu for just $25. Diner do not be discouraged if you are unable to secure a reservation this first week, as many restaurants have extended their participation all month. With some restaurants participating through Labor Day, you are sure to find some great options. And with each Restaurant Week meal you purchase, 20 percent is donated to the Food Bank’s efforts providing access to nutritious food for hungry children, seniors and families throughout our community.
While Restaurant Week is often known for discounted fine-dining, last year alone, this single largest culinary event in DFW generated almost 2.4 million meals for our hungry neighbors in need. Today in North Texas, almost 800,000 of our neighbors live in food-insecure households and do not know where they will find their next healthy meal. For those neighbors, enjoying a healthy meal is often few and far between. Each meal purchased during Restaurant Week means one less child who might not eat dinner that night, or a family who doesn’t have to decide between buying groceries or paying bills.
So don’t delay and make a reservation to participate in DFW Restaurant Week. Dine out and donate to help close the hunger gap in our community. For additional event information, and for a list of participating restaurants, click here.
