Write Your Legacy Through Planned Giving
Consider including the North Texas Food Bank in your will or estate plan this new year.

The start of a new year presents the perfect opportunity to consider your legacy as a hunger fighter.
According to Caring.com, nearly 70% of Americans don’t have a valid will. The North Texas Food Bank has partnered with FreeWill to provide you with the opportunity to create or update your will at no cost, making it simple to protect your loved ones and align your legacy with the causes you value most.
The North Texas Food Bank is grateful for its steadfast supporters, including those who’ve made the ultimate commitment by including NTFB in their will or estate plan.
Your generosity will impact countless children, families and older adults facing hunger for years to come, including families like Michael’s.*
A young Army National Guard soldier, Michael returned home following an overseas deployment to find his family facing an unexpected challenge. His father was out of work and his mother was supporting their family of five on her own. Michael heard about a North Texas Food Bank partner focused on serving veterans and active-duty military and their families, and he was able to pick up food just in time for the holiday season. The groceries meant his parents and siblings had access to nutritious food so they could focus their resources on other critical needs, like utilities.
By including NTFB in your planned giving, families like Michael’s can always seek assistance during difficult times. In 2024, NTFB and our network of nearly 500 partner pantries and community organizations made significant strides in closing the hunger gap, but we’re just getting started.
Those who include NTFB in their will or estate plan are invited to be a part of the Full Plate Society. Members are recognized on our website and invited to special events, including our annual Legacy Luncheon, behind-the-scenes tours and more.
