Thank you to NTFB’s Top 100 Volunteers
The dedicated group gave over 33,000 hours in 2025.

The 100 most involved volunteers at North Texas Food Bank in 2025 together gave 33,527 hours to support their neighbors facing hunger.
“We are extremely grateful for the dedication, passion and energy the Top 100 Volunteers bring to North Texas Food Bank. It is inspiring to see strangers become friends as they give their time to help neighbors in need,” said Elizabeth Campo, Manager of Volunteer Engagement. “All volunteers, especially those on this list, are vital to the work we do here. During one shift, volunteers can pack up to 30,000 meals!”
Volunteers spent time during the year completing pack and box shifts at NTFB’s Perot Family Campus, receiving donations of food at the H-E-B door, supporting senior food box distributions in the community, working at special events and more.
Mary Beth is one of the Top 100 volunteers. She began volunteering in 2021 and says she’s grateful for the chance to make a real difference in her community.
“What keeps me coming back is knowing the immediate impact our work has on people’s lives,” she says. “An unexpected, life-changing event can happen to any of us at any time, suddenly putting someone in need of support. The North Texas Food Bank and its affiliate partners are there in those moments, providing the food and stability families need to get through.”
She added that she’s also had the chance to develop wonderful friendships along the way and has been moved by the number of volunteers who give back because they were once in need of food assistance themselves. Top 100 volunteers Dana and Daniel, who began serving in 2024, agree the relationships are part of what makes volunteering rewarding.
“We fell in love with everything at North Texas Food Bank. The people here are so kind, and we look forward to seeing them every shift,” Dana says. “Daniel and I love how there are so many different volunteer opportunities here. We try out new shifts all the time.”
Volunteer hours given by these top 100 individuals in 2025 equate to a value of nearly $518,000.
