Taste! At The Star Provides 2.67 Million Meals for Children Facing Hunger

The signature event raised nearly $900,000 to support North Texas Food Bank in providing meals to children and families.

Thanks to the generousity of guests—and that of our tremendous sponsors, host committee members and restaurant partners—the 2026 Taste! At The Star, presented by Tyson Foods, raised enough money to provide 2.67 million meals for children facing hunger across North Texas.

This event would not have been possible without the gracious support of our sponsors: Tyson Foods, Dallas Cowboys, Ryan, TIAA, McLane, Baylor Scott & White Health, Tom Thumb Foundation, Comstock Resources, Arcosa, Casamigos, Crown Royal, Don Julio, Bank of America, Bob and Janet Ryan Stegall, Jackson Walker, KPMG, Lincoln, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, AlphaGraphics, Dr Pepper, Hornitos Tequila, Jim Beam, Josh Cellars, Kendra Scott, Molson Coors, On The Rocks, Papa John’s, Pepsi and Tiff’s Treats.

A special thanks to our participating chef and restaurant partners that provided guests with tasty bites that night: Beto & Son, Bird Bakery, Dee Lincoln Prime, Dee’s Table, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Empire Baking Company, The Glen, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Haywire, La Duni Baking Studio, Legends at The Star, Lockhart Smokehouse Plano, Lombardi, The Mexican, Mexican Sugar, Mozzarella Co., Musume, Nick & Sams, Portillo’s, Raising Cane’s, Renny’s Grill & Lounge, A Maguire’s Hospitality Concept, Salum, Sawaii Indian, Uchiko, Yelibelly Chocolates.

We’re also grateful to Western Rewind Band and DJ Tamieko Amos for providing entertainment. And for all the donors who supported our live and silent auctions as well as the Kendra Scott Mystery Boxes & Pop Up station, and the Beam Suntory Liquor & Deutsch Wine pulls.

For the second year in a row, Texas leads the nation in hunger, according to a report by Feeding America, and in the 12 counties served by North Texas Food Bank, 1 in 6 individuals and 1 in 5 children don’t always know where their next meal will come from. Thanks to the supporters of this event, more children and families will have access to the nourishing food they need to learn, grow and thrive.

Dr. Antionette Mathews, director of Wraparound Services and the School Pantry at Lancaster ISD, sees that impact every day. She shared that students are better able to focus when they aren’t worried about having enough to eat at home. “Families are really struggling and need it, so this is an extra weight off their shoulders,” she said.

Angie, a mom of three who visits the pantry, put it simply: “Keep doing what you’re doing and supporting the families and kids because some families need it—and I’m one of them.”

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event for standing alongside us as we work to provide nourishment and hope to children and families across our community.
