North Texas Food Bank Welcomes Mike O’Hara as VP of Technology and Data Strategy

Mike brings more than 30 years or experience aligning IT strategies with organizational goals.

North Texas Food Bank is excited to announce Mike O’Hara has joined the executive team as the Vice President of Technology & Data Strategy.

Mike will lead NTFB’s new Technology & Data Strategy function, consolidating the IT and Business Intelligence areas while helping NTFB build out additional capabilities to support its new strategic plan, Fulfilling Futures.

A Los Angeles native, Mike brings more than 30 years of experience aligning IT strategies with organizational goals, including most recently as Chief Information Officer for DallasNews Corporation, where he spent 18 years.

Mike is excited to lend his talents to NTFB’s bold mission of closing the hunger gap in North Texas and says technology and business intelligence can be “game changers” in strengthening NTFB’s ability to provide food to the neighbors who need it most in an efficient manner. He previously served as a board member for Dallas Morning New Charities and YMCA of Greater Dallas.

“I have spent most of my career leading technology organizations in the corporate world,” he says. “While I’ve enjoyed that work, I now want to apply my experience in a way that makes a direct and meaningful impact on people’s lives.”

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from Regis University.  

Mike and his wife Robin have been married for 35 years and have four sons. They live in Southlake. In his free time, he enjoy volunteering and playing pickleball.
