How to Give Back with Amazon Smile

With the holiday season officially upon us, online shopping is sure to be a popular destination for purchasing gifts for friends and family. If you are utilizing Amazon for holiday shopping, there is a simple way to support the North Texas Food Bank through your purchases that only takes a couple of minutes to set up!

Through Amazon Smile, charitable organizations receive donations from Amazon with no cost to you, the consumer. In NTFB’s current fiscal year, Amazon Smile donations have already provided access to more than 75,000 meals.

Here are the steps to set it up and start giving back!

  • Go to smile.amazon.com and sign in using your standard Amazon credentials.
  • Search for and select the North Texas Food Bank as your charity.

  • If you have already signed up for Amazon Smile and you need to change your charity of choice to the North Texas Food Bank, you can do so in the top left corner where it says “Supporting: {charity name}.”
  • Click “change” and select the North Texas Food Bank.

  • Now the fun begins! Shop as you normally would and after you check out, Amazon will automatically donate to NTFB based on the amount of your purchase.
  • When browsing for items, look for the “Eligible for Amazon Smile donation” designation.

And that’s it! We hope you will consider supporting hunger relief and NTFB through this simple action. While you are on the Amazon site, don’t forget to visit the NTFB Wishlist where you can purchase and send food directly to us.
