17th Annual Taste of the Cowboys Welcomes Back In-Person Guests

Last spring, our annual Taste of the Cowboys signature event was turned into a virtual opportunity to thank the community for their outpouring of support at the onset of the pandemic. As the public has continued to demonstrate its commitment to hunger relief through its generous support, it seems only fitting that one year later, on June 6, the Taste of the Cowboys, presented by Pepsi, marked the return of in-person signature events for the North Texas Food Bank.

Hosted by the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, the sold-out event was reimagined as a picnic and concert on the field to allow for health and safety protocols. Attendees still relished the gourmet tailgate food stations that the event is known for, enjoying samplings from 18 restaurants and chefs.

The funds raised from this year’s event will provide nearly 1.3 million meals to support the NTFB Child Programs  and assist families experiencing hunger across North Texas.

Guests of Taste of the Cowboys were seated picnic-style on the field of AT&T Stadium to enjoy the food and music. The Cowboys mascot, Rowdy, made a special appearance!

In addition to the delicious food, guests also enjoyed live entertainment from the Ray Johnston Band, Prophets and Outlaws, and Texas music legend Pat Green. Green announced his own $10,000 donation to the North Texas Food Bank during his set!

Pat Green, right, and Prophets and Outlaws perform the song they recorded together, “Little Bit of Love.” Proceeds of the song went to the North Texas Food Bank.

This event would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, host committee and the Dallas Cowboys. We appreciate everyone’s support in fighting hunger in North Texas, and we are excited to continue to welcome back guests and supporters in person. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming events!
