Get Ready to Feed Your Appetite at Annual Taste of the Cowboys!
The North Texas Food Bank hopes you will join us for some football, food and fundraising at one of our favorite signature events, the Taste of the Cowboys, presented by Ashley. Now in its 19th year, the 2023 event will be held on Friday, June 9, at the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility, The Star, in Frisco.
Hosted by the Dallas Cowboys, the event will feature Dallas Cowboys alumni players, live entertainment, and gourmet tailgate food stations from some of the Metroplex’s best restaurants. All proceeds benefit the Child Programs of the North Texas Food Bank.
The entertainment this year will feature an opening performance by singer/songwriter and American Idol contestant Riley Thompson, making her Taste of the Cowboys debut. The main performance welcomes back to the event the Southern soul band, Prophets and Outlaws.
In addition to the wonderful music, delicious food will also be taking center stage! We have a variety of some of the area’s most popular restaurants participating. And just to whet your appetite, we want to highlight a few of the dishes you can sample at the event!
For meat lovers, STK Steakhouse will be serving a steak tartare with truffle emulsion and potato chips and Dee Lincoln Prime will be bringing a braised tenderloin slider with pickled onions, arugula and a horseradish cream sauce.
If you are more into pasta, Calabrese Southlake has you covered with its cavatelli with veal meat sauce and truffle cream and Sfuzzi will be sampling a spicy vodka rigatoni with Italian sausage.
Feeling more like seafood? Visit Neighborhood Services at Omni Frisco’s station for seared scallops with pea and enoki mushroom risotto with a yellow curry sauce.
And don’t miss Salum’s Salmorejo, a chilled Catalan tomato soup.

Tickets will be sold as pods of four or six guests, or as individual tickets. Each pod will be located on the indoor field and will include a table and chairs. Please note this event is for guests ages 21 and older.
