Do Member Agencies pay for the food received from the Food Bank?
When a non-profit organization joins the North Texas Food Bank as a Member Agency, they become our partner in getting both donated and purchased foods to the families and individuals who need them. They share in the cost of handling this food by contributing a per-pound handling fee that we call "Shared Maintenance." We do not ask Member Agencies to share in the cost of handling perishable items that might spoil before they can distribute them—bread, fresh produce or short-dated dairy items, for example—or items that are very plentiful and must be distributed quickly.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, North Texas Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our Federal Tax ID number is
