James Williams
Community Kitchen Chef and Manager

James Williams serves the North Texas Food Bank as the Community Kitchen Training Chef and Manager and is responsible for overseeing the management, operations and training within the Community Kitchen program. He is also the instructor for the Texas Department of Health Food Handlers Certification 10-week course that is administered to confinees in the Texas Second Chance Program from Dawson State Prison. Students work with Williams during the week to prepare meals that are then frozen and distributed to agencies.

Williams joined the Food Bank team in 1999 with seven years of cooking experience with Volunteers of America. He is currently completing his degree requirements from El Centro College’s nationally acclaimed Culinary Arts program.

James Williams and his wife Tryphosa reside in Fort Worth.
